Appenzeller® cheese is a product with tradition: it has been produced for over 700 years in the Appenzellerland. The cheese creates an identity for the region and is closely associated with it. So that future generations will also be able to live from making the cheese and the Appenzellerland will continue to remain a natural paradise, the SO Appenzeller Käse assumes responsibility for the natural environment, people and traditions, which permeate the Appenzellerland. This is because sustainability requires long-term thinking – and farsighted action.
