Alpenzeller® is a cheese speciality from eastern Switzerland that reaches maturity because it is stored for at least ten weeks. The idyllic Alpine landscape and the rich Alpine herbs form the ideal basis for the natural unprocessed milk from which Alpenzeller® cheese is made. The exclusive speciality is available only in the Käseladen Salesis cheese shop in Appenzell, at the Schaukäserei in Stein or directly from the manufacturers on the local Alps, namely Rainhütten, Brülisau and Spitzig Stein, Seealp. It is easy to recognise Alpenzeller® cheese with its silver-green label.
